Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have set up my daughter's profile on the Deco app, added her tablet and set as Child 0-7 years.
(as per this guide:  https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/faq/1598/ ).

She is still a bit young to be doing anything on the internet by herself, but I just wanted to test the function, so I know how it works in the future.

So just to test it I visited Twitter and Facebook, which are still accessible from the browser.
Social media is one of the things that is supposed to be blocked. So why are these still coming up?

Even if you manually add the full URL for Twitter (for example) to blocked content, it can still be accessed.

(Instagram however does seem to be blocked)

  @Rudie

Hi, welcome to the community.  Some websites and apps might have multiple domain names and it is suggested to add the following key domain names to block Twitter and Facebook:

  Key domain names Recommend Key   Words
Twitter video.twimg.com
pbs.twing.com
api.twitter.com
twitter
twing
FaceBook b-api.facebook.com
 b-graph.facebook.com
 lookaside.facebook.com
 gateway.facebook.com
 edge-mqtt.facebook.com
 graph.facebook.com
facebook
 fbcdn

Best regards.

  @David-TP

Hi David

Those URLs you have suggested also have no effect.

After some trial and error I have now managed to block some websites by simply using:

twitter(dot)com

facebook(dot)com

tiktok(dot)com

Why are these not blocked in the first place?

Surely they come under the category of social media!?
