My deco x90 is working normally but internet speed via wifi is capped at 100mbps whenever ISP modem or deco is turned off and on again.

 

When the speed is limited to 100mbps, I need to disconnect the deco network cable from the 2.5Gbps port, and connect it to the 1Gbps port, with the ISP's modem turned on, then the speed returns to normal.

 

When the deco or the ISP modem are turned off and on again, the speed is again limited to 100 mbps, needing to change the port from 1Gbps to 2.5Gbps, with the ISP modem and the deco turned on.

 

Whenever the deco or modem is rebooted or restarted I need to repeat this process.

 

There is some bug in the deco x90 software.

Hi, Thank you very much for your feedback.

I would like to forward your case to the senior engineers later and could you please help with some details first:

1. Have you tried to change a different Deco as the main Deco to see whether the issue continued---https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2400/?

2. If possible Please also change to a new Ethernet cable to test this issue as well.

3. Have you checked whether the Ethernet connection speed from Deco X90 was capped at 100m/s as well?

1 - I performed the main deco switch, and the deco crashed twice. On the third attempt, the new main deco started to provide internet at full speed. After restarting, the limited speed problem occurred again, but now the speed is limited to 200mbps and the upload to 75 mbps. When changing the ethernet port cable the problem was not solved anymore. My connection stays capped at 200 mbps download and 75 mbps upload.

2 -  I tested with 3 different network cables. but the issue persists.

3 -  yes, it was too. Now its capped at 200mbps.

after 30 minutes the speed was not capped anymore. Now its working at full speed.
