I am trying to use the SFP Port as one of my WAN connections, My system is running on a comcast business gateway and I have a block of IP addresses I want one of them on the ER7206 thru SFP

I have to use a SFP module as I only have RJ45 in from the comcast gateway. I am using a RJ45 as a backup wan connection and all my other ports are already used

The light on the SFP will not even light, maybe I am using the wrong module? I am using TL-sm5310 -t (TP-Link)

I have these from a previous install If you believe its the SFP module please advise on the correct one. or what can I do I am in stand alone mode

since it is a sfp+, any luck with changing the port speed to 1G? not on auto which is default setting?

uplink on this sfp, is it 1G as well?

TL-SM5310-T can only work with 10G SFP+ slot.

ER7206 has a fixed gigabit SFP WAN Port.

For your ER7206, please choose TL-SM331T

@Hank21 I can confirm that, I'm using the TL-SM331T Eth-SFP module on my ER7206 happily, and also on my SG2210P switches.

Also have to ENABLE the SFP WAN port in Settings/Wired Networks/Internet (on my OC200 controller)

@spd2612 That's a terrible "business" gateway.. try to get something business grade..if you insist of using ethernet SFP modules , get a TL-SM331T instead.

I do not recommend that unless ethernet is the only thing you can possibly get.
