Model: Archer C1200
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.16.0 0.9.1 v6055.0 Build 210107 Rel.25449n

I have an internet of 300 mbps by ISP on 5ghz I get the correct speed and on 2.4 GHz I don't get the full speed. First I got 90mbps... Changing to 811 n only and to 40hz width and the channel I got 150 mbps. Would be it possible to get 300mbps ? How? Thanks in advance. My router is an ec220-5g ac1200 dual band.. but it was not in the models list

Hi,

While the EC220-G5's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi is specified at "300 Mbps" this is actually a theoretical rating that can never be achieved in practice.

As a general rule of thumb the practically achievable speed can be expected to be roughly half the rated speed, therefore the 150 Mbps you are seeing seems reasonable.

If you need the full 300 Mbps and the device is a PC or laptop, then you could check if it's possible to replace its old 802.11n Wi-Fi card with a modern Dual-band Wi-Fi card.
