Model: TL-WR902AC
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: TL-WR902AC(EU)_V3_191018

I have 2 UK version of TL-WR902AC devices. On the UK Support site for this device I see there is a new firmware TL-WR902AC(EU)_V3_0.9.1 Build 220329 which I have downloaded but I am unable to get the devices to upgrade to this new version. The upload goes fine and it goes through the process of installing and rebooting but on reboot the device still reports the old firmware not the new one. I have tried multiple times on both devices but it never upgrades. I have tried a hard reset of the devices as well but didn't make a difference.

Has anyone succeeded in upgrading to this firmware ?

  @Liverpool20

Just to update you I found the cause of my problem and was able to update the firmware. All my previous attempts to update the firmware was via having the device connected via a lan cable. Although I could access the WebUI and attempt a firmware upgrade it would never work. However connecting to the device via wireless does work and by doing so I was able to update the firmware

Many thanks for all your help on this, really appreciated.

Dave

@Dave7

Hi,

Can you confirm the hardware version and country code of the router? Are both TL-WR902AC(EU)_V3?

Maybe @Kevin_Z can suggest further.

  @Liverpool20 Can confirm both are the EU version (specifically UK and it's the UK support site I download the firmware from) and both are V3 hardware.

Many thanks for replying

@Liverpool20 Thanks for tagging me and helping answer the inquiry in the community.

@Dave7 On the device label, does it show TL-WR902AC(EU) version or TL-WR902AC(UK)? We would like to have a specialist look into this further via email. Please check your mailbox later, and let us know if the issue is resolved. Thank you!
