Hello!

So, my problem is like this : i can't access a synology device from within my LAN using DDNS. Only from external networks. Inside my LAN, only with LAN IP. Port forward is done ok, since i can access it from external source.

Any sugestions?

Thank you.

Hello @oxyg3n

Can I confirm how are the AX53 and AX3000 connected to the network? Can you please show us the detailed network layout and the IP addresses for each device?

Is the Synology device connected to the AX53 via LAN cable, or is it connected to the AX3000?

  @Kevin_Z the AX53 and AX3000 are the one and the same device, not 2 separate devices. On the box it's written AX3000 and below it AX53.

As for the connection, it is wired, and the portforward is ok. I tried putting the NAS on DMZ, and the problem is the same. From inside LAN, only via local IP can i access it. From outside LAN, i can access via webadress.

@oxyg3n

I see. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Are you able to access the NAS from the local network by using the public IP address + port number? What is the error message if it also fails?

Can I also know what is the specific reason that you want to access the NAS from the local network by DDNS? We may need to confirm if there is an issue with the support engineers.

  @Kevin_Z

From LAN, I can't access the NAS using Public IP (5.13.2xx.xxx) + port number. I says that it takes too long.

From outside LAN, same Public IP + port number works like a charm.

I want to access it from same DDNS, even on LAN, for ease of access. The dedicated apps from Synology work with Domain Name or IP adress, so it's easier to use the same DDNS, than an IP from LAN and Domain Name from outside.
