Tapo C500 NVR Support
I am currently using Tapo TC70 Indoor pan/tilt cameras which are connected to a Network Video Recorder (NVR). I am interested in using the Tapo C500 for outdoor use but it is not clear if the device supports connection to a NVR.
The TC70 specification states the following protocols are supported:
TCP/IP, DHCP, ARP, ICMP, DNS, NTP, HTTP, HTTPS, UDP, ONVIF, RTSP
The C500 specification states the following protocols are supported:
TCP/IP, ICMP, DNS, HTTPS, TCP, UDP
The C500 does not appear to support ONVIF which implies it may not work with a NVR.
Any information on the Tapo C500 would be much appreciatted.

I have now installed a Tapo C500 and can confirm that it supports RTSP/ONVIF protocol, including pan/tilt control.
The setup is exactly the same as the TC70, as described by the response by Wayne-TP.

Thank you for the feedback. Tapo C500 supports RTSP/ONVIF protocol. We have done a test on our end and it streams normally. Your feedback has been forwarded to the related team, the datasheet should be modified soon.

For the TC70 camera, in the Tapo App Settings/Advanced Settings/Device Account, I added a Username and Password.
I have an unbranded 8-Channel NVR/DVR. In the NVR settings I entered the username and password that had been setup in the Tapo App.

To connect Tapo camera to NAS or NVR, here is a guidance, FYI. How can I connect my Tapo camera to a NAS or NVR?
The required username and password by the NAS/NVR can be set up in the Tapo APP ->Camera Settings -> Advanced settings ->Device Account.

After several hours of trying configurations, this works. Be sure to setup username and password in the Tapo app.
