Firmware Version: 1.1.0 Build 20211118

I am struggling to get my AX6000 to connect to my broadband providers (Toob) IPv6 network (IPv4 is fine).

If configure it in bridge mode, then I can confirm there is IPv6, so my provider is definitely giving me an IPv6 connection.

I have also confirmed with another user who connects using an Asus router that it is possible to run IPv6 via a router, and compared configuration options (although I've now tried them all!)

Unfortunately whenever I connect, basically nothing happens - I don't get an IPv6 connnection, there is nothing in the logs, and no address allocation is given to the router.

Hello @adge

Thank you for reaching out to us and welcome to the TP-Link community.

Below are some instructions to set up an IPv6 connection on the wireless router, please review all the settings parameters on the router and ensure they are all correct. You may contact and ask Toob to help confirm:
How to set up an IPv6 Internet connection on the Wi-Fi Routers

If the connection still fails, can you please show us how is the AX6000 connected to the Toob network? Is there a modem and is it in bridge mode?

BTW, is the IPv6 connection type the same as IPv4? Are both using Dynamic IPs?

@Kevin_Z Hi, thanks for reaching out.

I have checked my settings (see my previous post) and they are correct to the best of my knowledge, and I have followed the instructions on the post you provided. Toob is a full fibre to the home broadband network (running CG-NAT on IPv4, but not for IPv6). My AX6000 is connected directly to the incoming network connection (ie no other router in between), and I note that I have had no difficulties with the IPv4 configuration/connection (DHCPv4 etc)

Thanks.

  @Kevin_Z

I am having the same problem.

Just finished setting p an AX1800 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Router, and I'm now connected to the internet using Toob.

However, the IPV6 connection does not seem to be working, and I'm not getting the speeds that I was getting with my Toob router.

I'd be interested in knowing what settings to use to fix this.

Thanks!

JamieH

@JamieHankins The status so far on this is that my router required a software change to solve a compatibility issue - that seems to resolve the connection to Toob, although I still have another issue I'm working through where I still don't actually acheive IPv6 connectivity (time-out instead!)

Good to know something worked! My firmware seems to be up to date though, so I'm not sure that's the issue in my case

@JamieHankins Ah, to clarify, TP-Links provided me with beta code to fix the compatibility issue - it's not in release code

@JamieHankins  What is the exact model number of the AX1800? Is it Archer AX1800 or Archer AX20? And how about the hardware version? Please verify that by checking the device label/sticker.
