hi, I have purchased an Archer T2U Nano. I'm using Windows 11. When connected to my wireless network via 5ghz I am getting download speeds of 5-10 Mbps. Compared to my much cheaper TP-link USB TLWN72N (150Mbps) where I am getting download speeds of 45-50 Mbps. The router is only 5 meters away. Any thoughts? I have tried this on multiple PCs connected to different routers and the performance is woeful. Any thoughts?

I've installed the TP-link windows 11 driver dated 29-03-2021 and plugged the adapter in on the front USB ports.

Hi, have you checked the 2.4ghz speed from Archer T2U nano as well since 725N supports 2.4ghz only?

It is also suggested to install the following driver on Archer T2U nano:

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi David

I have installed those Realtek drivers. When my router is 30 feet away, I'm getting download speeds of 18 MBps on 2.4 GHz and 13 MBps on 5 GHz. The link speed is 260 / 260 MBps. Signal strength appears good.

When I connect with my mobile phone (Google Pixel 7 Pro)  to the same router, I'm getting 31 MBps on 2.4 GHz and 57 MBps on 5 GHz.

Basically if I move further away from the Router, my download speed drops off dramatically, which is very frustrating because I bought the wifi Adapter to do away with the ethernet cable

Help!

Hi,

Could you please also help me test the speed when the PC is next to the main router? Please also check the link speed on the PC as well.

30 feet is a little far away for T2U nano and the 260m/s link speed is not ideal comparing the maximum is 433m/s.

Due to the nano design of the adapter, it is also suggested to put the PC in clear sight and try to avoid physical barriers in between.

Thank you very much.

best regards.
