Model: Deco X73-DSL
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have the Deco X73- DSL,

I've gone and purchased the Deco E4.

I notice when I've opened the E4 that it has one device named 'router', and the other named 'satellite' which has worried me - even though they look exactly the same from the outside.

I want to use both as satellites to create a mesh network to my X73-DSL - is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

It appears to work, but I have some questions, and perhaps this might fall under a requirement for TP-Link to introduce an update/improvement esp. to the topology/layout of the network map shown in a screenshot of the app's home screen above.

I wonder if the garage connects to the  router in the front room and if the topology above reflects correctly? The Kitchen is at the back of the house closest to the garage thus I would imagine in reality the garage is connecting to the kitchen?

Also, not sure why there is a strength indicator only between Room1 which is where the main DSL Deco router is, and the Kitchen, but not between garage and Room 1? Wonder if anyone at TP-Link can answer?
