Issue after upgrade firmware Deco M5
Hi, I am currently using Deco M5. However, after the firmware upgrade 1.7.0 build 20230504 Rel.63624, TPLink's cloud connection was lost. That made me unable to use or install the Deco app remotely, unable to use TPLink's DDNS and error checking for upgrade on app. I don't know how to do it, even contacting TPLink support in Vietnam they can't solve this problem. Thank.

I tried borrowing node deco M5 firmware 1.6.5 elsewhere to install as main node, all is normal. So it can be confirmed that the above error is caused by the new firmware. And now I don't know what to do because I can't downgrade to firmware 1.6.5

I also had issues on 1.7.0 using L2TP. You can downgrade by following instructions on https://www.tp-link.com/ph/support/faq/2958/

Hi, welcome to the community.
The firmware downgrade from 1.7.0 to 1.6.5 could be done via firmware recovery.
There are many new features added on 1.7.0, and I see you have submitted the Deco APP log to us already. If you would like to spend a little more time, I would be glad to forward your case to the senior engineers for further assistance.
Wait for your reply.
best regards.

@David-TP I tried your way. Connect Deco vs PC via LAN, install TFTPD64 app, but the app doesn't show any information connected to Deco.

@LinhVu Here's what i did.
You need to download the firmware and rename it. Open the TFTP app and browse to where you saved the firmware, should be a folder only. Leave it open in the background. Change your LAN network ip and subnet. Make sure that the pc is connected to the deco via LAN. Unplug the deco, grab a pen or pencil to press the reset button on the deco. While the reset button is still pressed, plug the deco. Do not release the reset button until you see a movement in the TFTP app. Should take more than 10 seconds to see an activity in the TFTP app. Release the reset button once you see an activity in the TFTP app. Once done, wait upto 5 minutes to let the deco finish the update.

@lawr3nc3 I did exactly as you instructed. But still nothing happens on the app. The only difference is that my Deco has a default IP of 192.168.68.1, so I set the PC IP to 192.168.68.xxx.

@LinhVu my deco is also 192.168.68.1 but I set my desktop to 192.168.0.66/255.255.255.0 and it worked for me.

@lawr3nc3 I don't understand why, I did exactly that but it still doesn't work. While I called the support company in my country they couldn't handle the problem and told me to find a way myself.
