Dark Mode is a systemwide appearance setting that uses a dark color palette to provide a comfortable viewing experience tailored for low-light environments. Some people often choose Dark Mode as their default interface style, and they generally expect all apps and games to respect their preferences.

 

Our development team has always taken note of our user's requests to add better support for the Deco App. And now a new Deco APP version of Dark Mode is ready for everyone to test and provide feedback. It does not need additional configuration and the Deco APP screen automatically follows the appearance of the mobile phone.

  @David-TP for Android is this being pushed to users who signed up for the betas or is side loading the only option?

@David-TP Finally... it took June 2023 for tp-link to realize that dark mode feature needs to be added to the Deco app

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it

Hi,  This beta App hasn't been pushed automatically to the beta testers and it is open for all community users. So far Sideloading is the only option yet.

  @David-TP update your buggy Firmware before installing an unneeded Dark Mode. And make WebUI Great Again I hate to use this garbage App! And share my config with an garbage company like TP-Link!!

I liked the color pallette. Colors are vibrant but not to bright to "hurt" your eyes.

 

  1. Security tab scanning blue animation seems "too blue" for dark mode. Similar for network optimization. 
  2. Some banners in parental control that prompting to upgrade to pro have light blue background with with letter. It is too difficult to read.
  3. Detect camera show a white box when scanning, does not fit with the rest of the colors. Same on Scan for devices. Both are under home assistant menu.
  4. In reports the blue Header seems too bright. On the contrary a similar header on the screen where we see some deco details and the devices connected to it seems better. Probably because there is some more content on the header.

 

To sum up, in my opinion, some blue and white backgrounds need to be improved
