Model: Deco X50   Archer AX3000
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

I have issues with functionality of DECO X50 system when used in Access Point mode

I have TP-Link Archer AX3000 as a router connected to cable modem

2x X50s are connected to LAN ports of AX3000 as below:

With this configuration X50s are going offline each 3-5minutes an fail to serve their purpose

I cannot interconnect X50s directly due to pre-installed UTP cabling in the apartment

Both LAN ports on the router work fine, tested on PC

What am I missing?

Thanks

BR
Dima

  @DolotinD

Hi, would the Deco X50 turn red during the disconnection?

Do you need to restart Deco to get the internet back or would it reconnect automatically?

If only the main Deco X50 is connected to AX3000, the satellite X50 is temporarily unplugged or wirelessly connected to the main X50, would the disconnection repeat again?

Wait for your reply.

Best regards.

Hi David, 1. During the outage, DECOs LED turns stable red 2. After some time DECO reconnects automatically for a short time and then the issue repeats again 3. If only one of the DECOs is backhauled by GE from AX3000 and the 2nd one is backhauled by 2.4/5GHz from the 1st DECO - the network is stable and functions normally. This is however not my preferred layout due to the fact that BH SSID has to penetrate 2 walls and therefore bandwidth shrinks by ~80% Thanks Regards, Dima
