RE450 Range Extender Ethernet output
Hi there!
I recently came across a problem that I have been attempting to solve the last couple of days. With some context, my place is a 2 stories building, and my main router is on the first floor, therefore needing an extender. The last maybe year or so, the extender has been pumping a steady 90mbps down & 40mbps up speed. Which is pretty good considering the range and since my house internet is 500 Mbps.
However, I recently decided to plug an Ethernet cable into the extender and into my PS5 to try to get a more steady download speed, but everytime it is plugged in, it slows the speed down to 25mbps through the Ethernet and 10 on the wireless. And when the PS5 is connected to it through wireless the extender crashes and restarts every half an hour. I have never heard about Ethernet slowing down speed, I rather heard it was suppose to take the load off the wireless instead.
very baffled and in need of some clarification and help. Thank you so much!
