Deco M4 (working as Access Point) cannot restore connection after main router restart.
Hello :)
I got small mesh with two Deco M4 (one working as main) and one Deco E4; main Deco is working as Access Point, connected to the main router (Asus RT66NU).
The router is programmed to restart every morning at 5AM.
Everything works fine except that sometimes main Deco M4 - when I get up - shows constant red light - it seems that it cannot recover after restart of the router.
What can be the cause?
Thanks in advance:)!
Best regards !

You have correct expactation, but you would not be here if Main Deco worked as expected.
Here is workaround I could recommend. Get smart plug, connect Main Deco through it and program smart plug to power off/on Main Deco few minutes after scheduled router restart.
I did similar thing at my house with one of my Deco units, even if for reason different from yours. I bought Kasa HS103 Smart Wi-Fi Plug Lite and there were no issues with it powering off/on my Deco unit once a day.

I have the same problem but with another configuration.
My configuration is 1 deco X20 (= router + Wireless MESH for 1 DECO M4R and 1 DECO X20 ) >> LAN CABLE >> Deco M4R (V2.00 Build 20221229) to AP.
After restarting and updating the X20 DECO, I found my DECO M4R AP configuration down (LED RED on). I connect to the deco application and I see that the IP configuration is not good.
Example:
- The IP NETWORK is 192.168.1.0/24
- DECO x20 Main is 192.168.1.1/24
- DECO m4R is 192.168.100.1/24
I’m looking for where the ip configuration came from... After a long search, I see that the old configuration of the "router mode" (during the previous installation, the DECO M4R was replaced by DECO x20) is the same IP configuration.
Example:
- "Router" configuration - M4R = IP CONFIG: 192.168.100.1/24 - Old installation
- "AP" configuration - M4R = IP CONFIG: 192.168.100.1/24 - New installation
More information: When I connect the LAN (Deco x20 and deco M4R are on the same LAN cable) with other PC/NAS/GAMES, I lose the Internet configuration on all my devices.
Example:
- DECO X20 (router + MAIN + LAN CABLE + WIRELESS MESH) = 192.168.1.1/24
- DECO M4R (AP - LAN CABLE) = 192.168.100.1/24
- PC (LAN CABLE) = 192.168.100.2/24
- VIDEO GAMES (LAN CABLE) = 192.168.100.3/24
...
Can you help us?
PS: Sorry about the English accent.

@Alexandre. Hello :)
Just make a power cycle - but i do expect that Deco would reconnect automatically when host connection is brought back to live.

Hi, I see there are 2*Deco X20 and 2*Deco M4, and you manually marked them as router and AP. So do you use 2*Deco X20+1*Deco M4 as Mesh Network#1, then create a separate Mesh Network#2 via a single Deco M4?
If I am right, would there be any specific reason for these two separate Mesh Networks?
Normally, you could still add the last M4 into Mesh Network#1 and connect it via Ethernet cable to the main Deco X20, and no need to change it to Access Point mode.
Wait for your reply.
Thank you very much.
Best regards.
