Archer AX1500 (hw. AX12 v1.0) periodically drops WiFi connections in AP mode
I have purchased this router a few days ago. Updated the firmware to the latest version. Did a HW reset, reconfigured. I set it up to run in AP mode, as I already have an Internet router which does FW, NAT, Port Forwarding, etc... The GbEth port of hte internet router (LINKSYS WRT1200AC) is plugged into the WAN GbEthernet port of AX1500 operating in AP mode (I have already tried plugging it to the LAN port of AX1500, but the problem still remained.) The problem is that AX1500 randomly drops WiFi connections and clients (eg. SAMSUNG phones and tablets running latest version of Android, and other notebooks) are having difficulties reassociating. For example, Android devices report error when I try to force reconnection.
Any idea what might be wrong?

Regarding this firmware release issue, I'm afraid I cannot share more than what you can see from the firmware page.
What you understood is correct, 1.0.20 version is newer than 1.0.6, and that's why Tschabha can still detect the newer 1.0.20 when his is 1.0.6. I understand your concern is why the Published Date is later for 1.0.6, however, I cannot give a clear answer here for that. I will try to confirm with the related engineers and see if there is a specific reason for that.

In the email, both engineers (Kathy and Adam) said that they are on a business trip. Is there another engineer that can substitute temporarily so that this problem can have progress?

Sure, other engineers will contact you soon.
BTW, can you please confirm if you can still find EasyMesh setting on the AX12? If yes, please disable it, then monitor if they still disconnect.

All of my access points are in AP mode. There is no easymesh settings in AP mode.

To switch Easymesh OFF if you're in AP mode - switch AX12 to router mode, turn OFF Easymesh, then switch back the device to AP mode.
That's what I did on other TP-Link router models - more details.
Bare in mind that you should have an Easymesh feature in FW v1.0.20 according to its release notes, not sure about FW v1.0.6 though.

@terziyski
I've tried your suggestion and unfortunately it still won't work. The device still cannot obtain IP address from the network.
I've tried testing putting the same SSID (same SSID as the other access points in the network) in the guest network and the unique SSID in the main settings and vice versa. The results are still the same, in the same SSID the device cannot obtain IP address but in the unique SSID the device can obtain an IP address and connect. I think the problem really lies when the AX12's SSID is the same as the other access point in the network.

Bom dia!
Sim, realizei.

Hi, @Kevin_Z
Thanks for your response
To respond to your points.
1. I have total 3 access points connected to one Router.
Only the AP AX12 is having issue.
2. Have disabled the DHCP Server but that didn't help.
3. Having a AP with different SSID is not an acceptable solution for me as I need seemless roaming.
To add , I have also tried toggling various Settings like Mu-mimo, Smart Connect, OFDMA, TFT and Keeping only 1 of the 2.5 Ghz and 5 Ghz bands active.
But nothing resolves the issue.
In my case the Main router is Archer A6
Firmware version of my AX12 is: 1.0.25 Build 20230809 Rel. 54222(5553)

I switched back to Router mode (the device forgot its fixed IP address 😒😒😒), checked for EasyMeshfunction, but was not present. So the firmware version you claim is the latest (apparently not according to its version number) has not got this functionality. So there was nothing to disable. I switched back to AP mode (again messing around with the static adddresses) and the original problem is still there.
