Announcements HomeShield Service Update Notification!
On September 12th, 2023, we will be conducting a service upgrade for TP-Link HomeShield in the cloud. Following the upgrade, if your device firmware is listed below as an older version, certain HomeShield features may not function properly. To prevent any inconvenience, we strongly recommend updating your device to a newer or the latest firmware version as soon as possible.
Models that may be affected if they are using the old firmware:

How to update firmware:
For Archer routers:
1. Follow the FAQ below to log in to the router's web management page:
Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Upgrade > Online Update > Click Update.
2. If the online upgrade fails, please try to upgrade manually:
Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Upgrade > Local Update > Browse > Upload the firmware file with the .bin extension > Click Update.
1. Go to the Deco app > More > System > Update Deco.
2. If the online upgrade fails, please try to upgrade manually via web UI:
How to Update the Firmware of Deco (Method 2)
Go to Advanced > System > Firmware Upgrade.
