Model: Archer C80
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.13.1

There was a new firmware update for archer c80 v1 to 1.13.1 yesterday and now the webpage of the router doesn't show any clients connected and even in the tether app it shows a list of clients but never updates and new devices don't show up there at all. It's very buggy and sometimes I can't even get to the webpage for the router. Renaming of devices don't work and changing of icons don't stay either. Also I can't access the router when I'm out of my home network as well. The previous firmware worked very well and I tried to downgrade but it doesn't let me. I have tried restarting the router several times and deleted and reinstalled the tether app but nothing changes. Please issue a bug fix asap. This new firmware is super unstable and I can't downgrade.

  @aceedburn

Hi, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.

Please try resetting the router to factory defaults by holding the reset button until power LED starts flashing, clear the browser cache on your computer and then configure the Archer C80 router from the scratch.

After that, please check both the web interface and the Tether App management to see if there is still any problem.

By the way, for the remote access to the router via Tether App, you mean the router shows offline, or it shows online on the App but unable to login? what is the error message?

After the above troubleshooting, if the issue still exists, we would like to forward your case to our senior engineer for further debugging and analysis.

  @Sunshine I have tried factory restore and still have the same problem. Devices don't show in my client list and everything is so buggy with this firmware.attached picture is when I try to access my router via tether outside my network.  Do you have a latest firmware for this for me to try?

 Still cannot after doing factory restore again. This new 1.13.1 firmware is problematic. Please issue a fix asap. This is really frustrating. Also still cannot access the router via tether outside of the network. What is happening.?

  @aceedburn Another problem: this new firmware doesn't allow me to control my wireless speakers through the house. They are not recognised by the sound system app on my IOS and Android phones and tablets.

Hi, if you are not using EasyMesh function on Archer C80 with other EasyMesh satellite devices, please try disabling EasyMesh on the Archer C80, then check if the problem still exists.

  @Sunshine I do use a re450 as a easy mesh satellite device. And yes I have tried disabling it previously and the problems still persist. No remote access and clients list are empty in web gui and not updated in tether.

  @Sunshine after disabling and enabling the re450 now it shows as re550 instead. And when I try to rename the satellite device it says saved but then in device list it appears as re550. I have a re450. And it also shows 2 re550 devices in my device list but I only have 1 re450. It could be also be an issue with tether and also tp-link cloud that's causing these problems. I did unbind from cloud and re bind but still same problem. When unbind it only shows 1 satellite in device list. When bind with cloud again it shows 2. Earlier firmware was totally good. Please release a new firmware to solve all these problems. More and more problems are being discovered now.
