tp link extender is on but doesn't show in my available wifi list

the extender doesn't come up on my phone's wifi list so can't connect. all green lights are on so it's connected to router. have tried resetting

Hi, did you set up RE450 via the WPS button?

If yes, it might copy the wireless name of the main router.

You might consider setting it up via Tether APP and web UI, then give a new SSID for RE450.
