My family has currently a fiber connection with a very basic gateway that doesn't offer a IPV4 gateway address - only IPV6 gateway available. I had trouble connecting other WIFI routers there, as they expect a IPV4 address and just refused to work. At the end I needed to use a rental WIFI router of the provider, but the WIFI signal is too weak to cover the whole house.

Would it be possible to use DECOs in router mode? Can they connect if no IPV4 router address is given by the fiber router over DHCP?

Thank you very much for your kind support!

@NoBert Is there any solution, @David-TP?

Just a M4 (2-pack) user who regrets buying it

  @NoBert

Hi, welcome to the community.

May I know who is your fiber service provider?

I think you might need a Deco supports DS-Lite internet connection type at least and Deco P9 does not support this feature yet.

Deco M5 with 1.7.x above and Deco X50 with 1.2.x above have added this feature.

If you still want a powerline mesh, Deco PX50 also supports DS-Lite.

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

best regards.
