@ChrisUK The service they are providing in my country is pretty bad. No one replies to the emails and the tech support doesn't answer the calls, If somehow they answer the call they will just tell you to change the adapter or they will replace your unit. The service is really bad so I came here asking for help because people over here know more than the tech support. @Sunshine was kind enough to connect me with their Engineer.

If you are getting the same Exception error as I got then changing the router won't work as I have replaced 3 routers and the problem still persisted. The new router will come with the same firmware and they haven't updated the fix on the firmware download page. I'd suggest you to DM a staff over here or @Sunshine and link them this thread so they will put you in contact with someone that knows how to deal with this. And I wouldn't buy TP-Link products in the future. It took me over 4 months to get this fixed and the provided firmware comes with a watermark and it's been months but there's no official update, and traveling back and forth to the service center for 3 months costed me more than the two routers I bought.

  @SaurabhS I have dropped @Sunshine a message, will see if can avoid spending the money constantly returning a router which has a software bug and otherwise the hardware is fine.

  @ChrisUK

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

Please help to confirm the following details, then I will forward your case to senior engineer for debugging.

1. Who is your ISP please?

2. The C64 router just reboots on its own randomly or when there is a specific trigger? and how often does it usually happen?

3  Except for the C64 router, is there any other network devices in the same network? like extenders etc.? and how many client devices are usually connected?

4. How long has you been using this router? and was it working fine before?

  @Sunshine No problem at all :)

Hopefully add enough detail here:

1. Virgin media, but its just used to connect to a hub that is shared amongst others. I have no control of that part. I hardwire connect on someone elses LAN port.

2. It is completely random, typically once a day is normal and from the log attached in the other post - it's always the same error.

3. Usually 2 or 3 of devices at the most - not shared amongst anyone but myself.

4. Been using since the end of September when received it.

@Sunshine

I have been using the beta firmware for the Archer C80 which was provided by the Engineer last month. I have been experiencing download speed issues for a couple of days with the same router that has beta firmware installed.

I have another C80 router which doesn't have the beta firmware installed and the upload and download speed works fine on that. I have a 500mbps up/down plan. The upload and download speeds goes up to 500mbps as they should be on this router.

I've tried using multiple routers and they work fine except the one with the beta firmware installed. I have also checked with my ISP to see if the problem is from their end, but the problem seems to be with the router that has beta firmware on it. I'm not sure if it's the firmware causing the problem or there's some hardware issue with the router.  There are no error in the logs this time, but I will share the logs here just in case.
