Just different market segments, LS for home use and SG for business
The switches are 99% the same if honest, the only differences being the ability to snoop on the SG model, again this is likely only going to be useful to businesses.. and the SG is a metal case if memory services me correctly
I have used both of them before and personally I would choose the SG model, simply because it feels a bit more robust with its metal casing, however for home use with no chance of anyone kicking it.. the LS is equally as good!

Hello,
Snooping has to be used in home context if the ISP carries TV and VoD over its own multicast network.
Using it over own home switch allows to avoid avalanche effect at home when multicast is transformed into broadcast by a switch which is not performing igmp snooping. (throughput dramatic fall down when someone is watching Tv from ISP is one of the signs of the avalanche effect).
multicast is less used in business as using such targeted diffusion canals requires specific servers and routers to cope with very specific needs.
So, one must check with its own ISP to be sure that igmp snooping is needed to the the use of local mcast TV/media decoders through multicast. (My ISP does so!)
Regards,
Eric
