Model: RE220  
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.3 Build 20201022 Rel.66896

I'm trying to set up OneMesh with my RE220 V2 and Archer VR2100.

 

The whole process goes well, except that the SSID on the RE220 does not match the SSID on the Archer, but it does appear as a OneMesh device on the Tether app. The SSID on the RE220 is TP-Link9850.

 

It's as if the Archer is sharing the wrong SSID or the RE220 is overriding the SSID shared from the Archer.

 

I've had several goes at this. Also tried to manually amend the SSID but can't do this in Mesh mode.

Hi, 

Have you tried to disable and enable "OneMesh" again on the RE220 to see if there would be any difference?

If it is still the same, could you please send an email to support.forum@tp-link.com(subject--Forum ID 633380) with the following details:

  • The current wireless configuration on the RE220
  • The wireless settings on the VR2100
