I purchased the following Deco X50 pack of 3: https://amzn.to/3Sj8TWR

The firmware version is 1.1.0 build 20230522 rel 68968.

 

The Deco iMesh is useful however I'd like to schedule some of the Deco access point to stop the Wifi during the night.

The schedule is not available on this Deco model which I find surprising considering the cost of the hardware. Would it be possible to provide this feature in the near future ?

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Deco X50_V1.2 is also planned to support ECO Mode(Wi-Fi Schedule) later along with a firmware upgrade.

However, the current design of the Wi-Fi schedule works for all the units in the Mesh system. For your request, I think you could consider adding several smart Wi-Fi plugs to power the specific unit and set up the on/off schedule on the plug.

I'm happy to wait for v1.2 so I can have an ECO mode. Is there any ETA ?

Hi, I am afraid there hasn't been an ETA yet.

The ECO mode is added on Deco X50_V1_1.4.1. Before 1.4.1, there was 1.3.x that has added whitelist/Camera Security and other features-Deco X50/X55_V1_1.3.1.

Personally, I think V1.2 needs to support 1.3.0 features first, then support ECO mode.

Hi,

I saw that v1.2.2 has been released on https://www.tp-link.com/fr/support/download/deco-x50/#Firmware but it seems to only contain security fixes.

I will upgrade my boxes but I guess I have to wait for a future build to get the wifi schedule.

My Decos updated to 1.2.0 so I understand I need to wait for the update 1.4 to be released before I can get the ECO mode.
