Model: TL-WN822N
Hardware Version: V5
Firmware Version:

I recently purchase the WN822N-V5 which has RT-8192EU chipset, when i turn on the monitor mode in parrot OS, it works occasionally in parrot OS(kernel version v6.5), does this has anything to do with driver of 8192eu or the product doesnt support the monitor mode.
1) I  need to know whether this WN822N-v5 supports both monitor mode and packet injection.if the problem in driver please share me the respective driver link.
2) Please suggest any TP link adapter which supports both monitor mode and packet injection for long term support with latest kernel in either kali linux, parrot or ubuntu etc..

Hi,

It appears that Realtek has stopped providing updated Linux drivers for their USB Wi-Fi chips. Most official drivers only work up to kernel 5.11 or so.

Therefore you will have to look for drivers that have been modified by third-party developers. But you'll have to test by yourself whether any of those drivers works to your satisfaction.

For example, you could try this one: https://github.com/KanuX-14/rtl8192eu

As I wrote earlier, there is no official support for newer Linux kernels for any Realtek USB Wi-Fi chips.

Currently all USB-Wi-Fi adapters sold by TP-Link appear to be using chips from Realtek.

The only way to get their USB Wi-Fi adapters to work in Linux would be to use third-party drivers made by independent developers, but nobody can guarantee if and how good they will work and how long the are going to be developed further.
