Model: Archer AX1800
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Ver 1.2

I recently brought this AX1800 router to replace a struggling router, but I have followed all instruction guides and I haven't managed to get the internet on to light up at all. Power, 2.4 GHZ, 5GHZ all light up, and I am able to connect devices to the router - just not the internet.

I am plugging in to the internet via a dsl line, and as my old router is still working I can tell there are no internet issues. If I take the cable I am using out of the WAN port and place in to my old router the internet works normally.

I have tried following the troubleshooting guides, and tried both restarting and resetting the router with no success, is there anything else I am missing or can try to fix?

Hi,

Where is the other end of the cable that you've plugged into the Archer AX1800's WAN port going to? Is it going into a DSL modem?

If that's the case, then you will likely need to set up a PPPoE connection (with username and password) on the Archer AX1800. Were you given username and password information by your Internet Service Provider back when you subscribed to their service?

You mean you are connecting a DSL cable directly to the WAN port of Archer AX1800?

If so, it will not work, the Archer AX1800 is a router only and needs to connect internet via Ethernet cable, you will need to connect the DSL cable to a DSL modem first and then connect from DSL modem LAN port to WAN port of the router via Ethernet cable.
