  @Solo_RNG

Hi, Did the wireless connection from RE705X stop as well?

Can I have a picture of the IP settings on the PC when it is connected to the RE via an Ethernet cable?

How to find IP address on your devices

Best regards.

  @Antonin

Hi, is RE705x working in the wireless extender mode?

Have you set a static IP address on the wired laptop?

If we connect the laptop directly to the host router via an Ethernet cable, will it get an internet connection in case the host router has configured the MAC Address filtering?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @Antonin

Hi, are you able to test with another wired device so that we can check whether it is due to the broken Ethernet port on the RE705x?

Please also try to switch to another Ethernet cable.

Best regards,

  @Antonin

Hi, Thanks for the time and patience.

The Ethernet connection from the extender should be plug-and-play. The extender itself doesn't have any software configuration which could stop it from working properly.

I think the Ethernet port on the RE705x might be broken and it is suggested to contact the shop retailer to check whether the extender is still under warranty.

Best regards.

Hello, the problem is not in the cables, but somewhere inside of the extender. Because I managed to spot a few things. For example, LED cannot be turned off permanently. When I turn it off and save it, it turns on again within 10 seconds. The first sign of a malfunctioning firmware. I'm not talking about the problem with the cable, because I don't connect anything, but on the contrary, it happens to me with one mobile phone, paradoxically with my main one, which is also fairly new. What happens is that after a few days when I try to connect to wifi and the AX73 router does not take the device first, the repeater keeps connecting me for a few seconds and immediately disconnects me again. It happens every time after a few days. The only thing that works is to restart the repeater and then it works fine again for a few days. I would also like to add that I am not an IT amateur and the problem is seriously in the repeater. DHCP in the repeater is disabled (it is managed by AX73), the random mac address of the device that is being disconnected is disabled. For a while I thought that the assigned fixed IP address in the router would do it, but even after turning it off, it didn't fix anything. I'm not even talking about the fact that the repeater should have supported mesh network expansion by cable a long time ago. Because you haven't been able to break it up for x years. I'll grind it out for a while, but if you don't fix the RE705x firmware within a month, I'll personally go to the Tp-Link to detroy it there. Shame on you, have a nice day. Firmware 1.0.2 Build 20231129 Rel. 63661 - RE 705x V2
