What's in between the devices and the router? Are the routers or devices near a neighbour's house? 2.4Ghz can go through walls easier than 5Ghz, but it's susceptable to interference from things like microwave ovens and even outside security lights. Clashes with other networks on nearby channels can also be an issue.

No neighbours close by, so no interferrence from them. There are brick walls between some of the devices and router, which should have more impact on 5ghz band, but that works as it should. But what I would say is the oddest thing is that IoT-network performs so much worse than "home" and guest network. It's almost as there is some kind of restriction/speed limit on the IoT-network. For "home" and guest network I'm getting speeds about 40-50 mbit/s on 2.4ghz when in the same room as router, but with the very same conditions the IoT network only gets me 2-3 mbit/s...?!
