Model: Deco XE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.3.2

I've just received a notification in the Deco app that there's a new firmware version available for my Deco but it's not listed on the website yet, and the notes for the update are exactly the same as the previous firmware:

Can someone at TP-Link please look into this before I potentially brick my Decos?

  @Wrayman

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

The 1.3.2 is the correct firmware for Deco XE75 V1 and this version has mainly updated the HomeShield Features.

I have reported to the web support and they could help us update the release note of 1.3.2.

Sorry for the inconvenience and best regards.

  @Fl1nst0ne the fact that the update notes are identical implies that they are either wrong or the last update didn't address the issues! I think I'm going to hold off until I get confirmation that the update is correct and not break my (rather expensive) equipment! Hopefully it's just incorrect notes and the website gets updated shortly.

@Wrayman They're not "identical", on 1.3.2 there are "two" new features/enhancements; on 1.2.9 there's one

  @Fl1nst0ne I'm in the UK and it's not available on my support page yet. Another reason to avoid doing it for now I suppose!

  @David-TP thanks David, good to know! I just didn't want to upload firmware that might have been for another hardware version and potentially do some harm to my network yes

I did the update and since then, I have problems with 2,4G network clients droping connection. Can I revert to 1.2.9 version?

  @StaneB if you want to revert to a previous version you'll need to open a browser on a PC and navigate to http://192.168.68.1/ then sign into the Deco and go to:

Advanced > System > Firmware Upgrade

Then you need to go to the Deco support site and download the firmware for your particular region and hardware version, then you can upload and install it with the firmware upgrade tool.

I'd recommend a wired connection to avoid disconnection during upload but I've never downgraded the firmware of my Decos so maybe check the forums for other users' advice yes

  @Wrayman

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

I would just like to know if anyone downgraded from 1.3.2 and if it's safe, because it is not within the same 1.3 version to downgrade to 1.2.9.

I have V1 hardware.
