The current firmware version of my AX73 V2 is 1.0.12 Build 20231023 rel.42641(5553).

 

I went to the official website to check that the latest firmware version is Archer AX73(TW)_V2_1.2.4 Build 20240125 released on 2024-03-13. The name of the decompressed file is ax72v1-up-all-ver1-2-4-P1. [20240125-rel39949]-1024_sign.bin, uploaded to the router for upgrade, the result showed an upload error!

 

Judging from the file name, this firmware should be the firmware used by AX72 V1. Why is it placed in the download area of ​​AX73 V2? In addition, the firmware downloaded by Archer AX73(TW)_V2_1.2.2 Build 20230927 is also unusable!

It seems that the web admin has misplaced the FW release file for AX73 v2 in your local support website.

Look at the bottom sticker of your router - you'll find the FW region (confirm this) and HW version - details.

Your AX73 seems to be with the latest FW release at the moment.

We have confirmed that the decompressed file( ax72v1-up-all-ver1-2-4-P1. [20240125-rel39949]-1024_sign.bin) is the correct and suitable for Archer AX73(TW)_V2_1.2.4 Build 20240125, actually.

So may I confirm your router is TW or US version? You can check it on the bottom label of the router. If it is US version, the latest firmware for Archer AX73(TW) V2 is not suitable for your router, and that should be the reason why you failed to upgrade the firmware.

Also, for your model, online upgrade is ok usually. If the firmware version shows the latest, there will be no need to do update.
