  @jruyssen

Your Main Deco is unable to negotiate gigabit speed over Ethernet cable that connects it to ISP modem/router. It drops speed to 100Mbps and alerts you about it with "Abnormal WAN speed" message.

Unplug Ethernet cable that connects Main Deco to ISP modem/router from both ends, then plug it back. If that alone does not fix the issue, you will need to replace that cable.

Hi, which port on the BE85 was originally connected to the ISP modem?

If the internet bandwidth is about 1G/s, have you tried to connect one of the 2.5G/s to the ISP modem?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

I've tried every single port even put in a SFP and tried that but none of them made a difference. The original port was the 10Gbps rj45, I've spoken to the ISP to see if it was on their site but that all looked good, put in my previous router and had no problems.

  @jruyssen Have you activated QoS in the advanced settings for one of your client devices?

I've noticed similar issues with my BE85 (starting with firmware version 1.0.16) as soon as I activate QoS.

no I haven't turned on QoS, I have reset the router to factory default as I thought maybe that will work but with no luck

  @jruyssen

Hi, Thanks for the update.

I would like to forward your case to the engineers later for further assistance. Please check later whether you could receive my email.

By the way, may I know who is your internet service provider? Is BE85 connected directly to the NBN connection box or any other modem?

Can I also have the model number of your old router?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @David-TP

thank you, email received.

ISP provider is TPG, the BE85 is directly connected to the NBN box.

my old router was AX5400 Dual-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Router.

thanks

  @jruyssen I also have the same issue. I have BE85 firmware 1.0.16 build 20240301 Rel 38693. I have noticed since 14/04/2024. WiFi download speed test max speed 87mb and upload 70mb. Before was 900mb and 100mb respectively. Have tried changing ports and cable and still the same issue. Has to be a problem with the firmware as perfectly OK before update. Tp-link should look into the firmware.

  @Santa1701

I downgraded back to version 15 and the problem went away. Below is a link for V1.0.15
