Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.2.9

Hello,

I have 3 XE75 Pro's in AP Mode. I have them all connecting to a 2.5 GB unmanaged switch from their 2.5 GB port. The switch then connects to a 2.5 GB LAN interface on a Firewalla Gold SE. Is this a valid configuration? I am seeing the Deco units perform at slow speeds after a period of time and it is resolved after I reboot the deco nodes.

I know there are topology diagrams for Router versus AP mode on TP-Link but I find the AP example isn't clear on if the main deco should be direct to the router while satellites  nodes connect to the switch which connects to the main deco.

Thank you.

  @winsor50

Hi, it is a valid configuration.

                                                                                    --/ Deco XE75 Pro

ISP---Firewalla Gold SE---2.5 GB unmanaged switch--- Deco XE75 Pro

                                                                                     --\ Deco XE75 Pro

May I know the model number of your switch?

I think the slow speed might be related to the Ethernet Backhaul among Decos.

It randomly drops to WiFi Backhaul, then causes a slow speed on certain units.

How often do you usually experience a slow speed?

Thank you very much and best regards.

  @David-TP thank you.

The switch is a 5 port 2.5 GB TrendNet TEG-S350.

  @David-TP  sorry I missed part of your question.

It's quite often. I rebooted deco the night before last and it is slow again now. I'm standing next to main deco on 6 GHz and I am getting 293 Mbps on a 1.5 GB ISP service.
