Model: Deco X50
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I have been trying to set up a VPN client (CyberGhost) for my Deco X50 and have gone through all steps indicated in the app and also tried Troubleshooting VPN Issues on Deco - Home Network Community (tp-link.com). All steps followed with no success; the status is "connecting" forever :(

I'm not exactly an IT person so it is possible there is a missing element, but I also saw there have been other threds people reporting on the same issue.

Could anyone advice how to get through this problem?

  @rad_c

Hi, Thanks for the feedback.

May I know the hardware and current firmware version of your Deco X50?

In the meantime, could you please send a copy of the OpenVPN config file to support.forum@tp-link.com?

Wait for your reply and best regards.

  @rad_c

Thank you very much and the email has been received.

Have you tried the instructions here:
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/3338/
It has been mentioned CyberGhost OpenVPN Server might provide several separate files for the users to establish a VPN connection.
The FAQ is trying to guide users how to combine all required information into one configuration file.

Best regards.

  @David-TP , thank you for the follow-up.

I compiled the single file as per the described steps and yet could not get the connection.

Have shared the file on the email and would be very grateful for further advice.

Thank you!
