Early Access Tether KidShield Test Recruitment - Safeguarding Children's Online Experience
KidShield is a fantastic tool for parents who want to ensure their child's online safety. Unlike the regular HomeShield Parental Control, which only functions when clients are connected to home Wi-Fi, KidShield Parental Control surpasses this limitation. Additionally, even if clients enable Randomize MAC address, KidShield's safeguards remain effective. By using KidShield, you can foster a safe and secure digital environment, allowing your child to explore the internet while you maintain control and supervision.
Is KidShield free for users?
Currently, KidShield is in the beta test phase which is free.
However, after KidShield is launched officially, you need to subscribe to the Total Parental Controls Package to use it.
***At the moment, the option "KidShield Profile" is available exclusively to a selected group of users. However, if you're interested in this feature, remember to first comment below then message me your TP-Link ID and Homeshield Archer Router model in use.
***If you are using the Homeshield Deco series, please step into this thread-Post 643864 to start a trial journey.
Note: Please ensure you have installed the latest Tether APP( Android or iOS) first to experience this new feature with your Archer router.

How to set up a KidShield profile
Step 1: Please go to the App Store or Google Play to Install the "KidShield" APP on your child’s mobile phone.
Step 2: Create a KidShield profile on the Parents'Tether APP according to FAQ 3779. Please ensure you are using the latest Tether APP version.
Step 3: Monitor the Kids' online safety according to FAQ 3780.

As I know, EB810v is a customized model by your local ISPs. It is a pity that the ISP customized models including yours does not support Kidshield, yet.

Hi can you explain how this works exactly please,
Although I'm a homesheild pro user my kid is still getting around the content filtering, Web page blocking ect be it by activating a vpn ( after being told multiple times not to download/use one)
Does this work the same as the family link where the app has to be on both devices for myself ( parent) amd childs device then i can then monitor/ lock/unlock their device and where it blocks apps from being installed via app store and via app without my permission and locks their phone from being accessed at a certain time ect.
I'm not fussed if I eventually have to pay for both services as not all my kids devices will have the app to be installed on so if it means I still will be able to implement cut off times on devices that can't have vpns on.
