Firmware Version: 9.0.0 Build 20201127 Rel. 72837

I have 3 deco version 1.0, one deco succes update firmware from 9.0.0 Build 20201127 Rel. 72837 to firmware 1.6.1_Build 20231227_Rel.53644. I try updating manually and OTA web or apps still doesn't work, can you please help me to update my two deco e4r v.1?

Hi, May I know where you purchased these two Deco E4 units with the 9.0.0 firmware version?

This version is quite unique and I think it is a customized firmware version.

Hi, Thanks for the update.

I couldn't find any record of the current 9.0.0 firmware version. I wonder whether you bought the two Deco units from a second-hand seller.

If yes, it would be better to return the 2-pack and purchase the products from the TP-Link official online store.

If not, we could try to use firmware recovery for a last try:

How to use firmware recovery on Deco ---HTTP Uboot Method

After Deco E4 gets into firmware recovery mode, you could try to load the following firmware to the web browser:

Deco E4_V1_1.6.1 Build 20231227
