Firmware Version: 1.3.5 Build 20230922 rel.71211(5553)

Having an issue updating to the latest firmware-

 

1.3.6 Build 20240325 / tried the auto update route , says sucess but after update firmware didnt update

 

Tried manually updating according to the reccomended process verified US version, same didnt work.

 

I lost 1 port  as router refused to provide an ip add for the connection in port 1.


Router seems to refuse to provide the address, worked on the other ports.

Wrote to tech support, they say 1st time they're hearing it after asking for a whole bunch of details from mac add to version and all details.

Anyone had a solution to this?

Make a configuration backup and then reset the router to its factory defaults by holding reset button for about 10 seconds.

Then try to update the router firmware again - details. After a successful update you can restore your configuration from the backup.

If that still doesn't work for you keep working your local support for resolving the issue.

  @terziyski Did that, same result.


Just to add, after reset , port 1 became unusable- router refused to issue IP to pc.


Restored it on backup file with an update which is not do-able, tried it again ended up wasting 2hours plus.

Can I know the region version of your AX73? Is it the EU version or the US version? Please make sure you're downloading and installing the correct firmware from the website.

 

When you try to upgrade the firmware and it fails, what is the error message? Please show us a screenshot of it. Thanks.

  @Kevin_Z Updated according to what my modem reccomended in the region for US VERSION, did the cloud update.


Screenshot included.Someone from the local support did the same - cloud update and it failed.

Factory reset, and update also failed . same end result, i am supposing TP LINK has stopped supporting this issue?
