I often lose connection during storms. The modem tries to reconnect, but fails and needs a manual reboot.

 

The modem displays two messages and the Internet LED is red.

 

  1. Check the DSL settings such as VLAN ID. Contact your Internet service provider to confirm if your line is in good condition.
  2. PPP connection failed. Please contact your Internet service provider to confirm if your line is in good condition. If the problem still exists, please contact TP-Link technical support for further help.

 

Everything works fine after a manual reboot.

Make sure your firmware is up-to-date. Updating solved  IDM Crack Patch similar issues for me with the same model.

As per your description, it is more suggested to contact your ISP to check the VDSL line.

I don't think it's an ISP issue.

My old Tenda V12 Wireless AC1200 modem doesn't have this problem.
