Note:
1. It is recommended that all Decos in the network be upgraded to beta firmware.
2. Please also check whether there is a firmware update for the Tapo device in the Tapo APP. If so, please update the Tapo device to the latest firmware.
3. How to update the satellite Deco units:
When the satellite Decos are offline, they may not be successfully upgraded through the Web UI. In this case, it is recommended to upgrade according to the following steps:
- Please temporarily power off most of the smart home devices and wait for the satellite Deco come back online.
- Once all the satellite Deco units are confirmed online, try upgrading to the beta firmware again through the Web UI.
-If the main Deco and satellite Deco units are on different models, you could also update the satellite units individually through its IP address.

- After ensuring that all Deco units have been successfully upgraded, power on the Tapo devices again and observe if the issue is resolved.

Hi, Do you mean the "OFDMA/Mu-MiMO" used to be added to Deco X10 before?
I didn't realize it till now as it hasn't been mentioned anywhere but I do know that this on/off toggle did exist on certain models. If any model doesn't support this toggle in a mixed Mesh system, it will eventually disappear from the Deco APP.
Thank you very much and best regards.

I installed the firmware 1.4.5_build_20241021_Beta for Deco X50/Deco X55_V1.2
The problem of satellites that were offline but with green LED, now seems to be solved.
However, there is the problem of devices connected to the IoT Wi-Fi network that are offline even if working.
This problem was solved in the previous beta.
The problem has reappeared with the official 1.4.5 firmware and is also present on this beta.

Hi, Do you mean the "OFDMA/Mu-MIMO" on/off toggle on the Deco APP?
It isn't added to Deco X50_V1.3. Only certain models, such as Deco X90/XE75/75 Pro_V1 have added this on/off toggle-(https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/655004?replyId=1352020).
The OFDMA/Mu-MIMO is enabled on Deco X50 by default.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi, Thanks for your time and patience.
I'm afraid Deco X50-V1.2 might still need to be on 1.4.5 for a while. There hasn't been any updated news about the next official version.
Best regards.

@David-TP any updates on the issue for X50 v1.2?

@RicsterUK well said, I have X50 V1.2 and V1, that bug is super annoying and makes my network unmanageable. The fact that TP Link can't straighten things out with that issue is a really bad joke. I have been fiddling with beta firmware, but I am really hoping for an official firmware that finally make things work again!

As I have the same issue as @Nytram with P9 and new beta firmware I can provide you the following feedback
Prerequisites:
Master Deco P9 unit is flashed with 1.2.1_build_20240925_Beta or 1.2.1-build_20240904_Beta (no difference)
Using beta APP 3.8.102
Reseting slave unit to factory defaults, adding it to the existing Deco P9 network doesn't bring device online in the app but it still works in the network.
Also the password on the newly added slave becomes incorrect (seems to be default) and I can't login to the added unit directly.
The only way to restore access to this unit is: reseting slave to factory defaults, flashing non-beta firmware, reseting to factory defaults, add to existing P9 network with beta firmware. After that I can access the unit directly with browser with login and password. After that upgrading it to the lateset beta firmware doesn't broke password login.
But device shows offline still.

@David-TP when will TP link fix this issue permanently with a non-beta fix ? It's a little disconcerting that an investment in a Deco based network and quite a number of TAPO devices has created instability in what should be a seamless ecosy
