Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Please implement to change the WAN/IPv4 DNS

if you dont trust your ISP or want faster internet you can change DNS to Google (8.8.8.8) or Quad9 (9.9.9.9)

if you want to use AdBlock DNS via PiHole, NextDNS or ControlD, you get it done via DNS

would also be useful to support

- DNS over HTTPS

- DNS over TLS

- DNS over QUIC

Right now i use DNS settings for DHCP but i dont think that its enough. My NextDNS doesn show any queries.

  @MapleStreet

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Have you used any 4G/5G routers that supports customize WAN/IPv4 DNS?

I tested on the mobile phone and when it is use the 4G/5G Cellular data, there is no place to edit its internet IP addresses as well the DNS settings.

As I understand it, the actual cellular device does not use DHCP to get an address, and it simply uses its SIM ID as its identifier on the network, so no IP addresses are required for this connection.

Thanks again and best regards.

I previously used the AVM Fritzbox 6850 5G but they dont support Wifi 6 so i switched to Deco X50-5G.

In the Fritzbox you can change the DNS and its called there DNSv4 / DNSv6.

I found this page where its shown, but its in german. But there are also Screenshots.
