Model: Tapo S220
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.7.0 220620 rel.170201

Adding a new S220 and it does strange things:

  1. Appears in all my "homes"
  2. Will not allow me to reloacte the device "because this feature is not currently supported"
  3. Has a warning "Local Only" when accessing settings (Cannot access outside local wifi)

I have tried re-adding the device (resetting it with the button) and I have tried removing the batteries to no effect

Does anyone have any ideas for what to try next?

It turned out to be the hub being too close to the Wifi repeater. I moved it to another plug further away and it works fine now.

Restart the hub or router to see if it resolves the "local only" issue. Once the device is connected to the cloud properly, try relocating the device again.
