Hi, must be doorbell and chime on same WiFi? Its in same house, but in diferent platfoms with different WiFi routers.

Install them on different WiFi network can also work, but in this case, their interaction go through cloud, which require both WiFi networks have stable internet connection. If one of the WiFi experiences unstable network issue, it will affect the chime ringing.
