Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I am getting problems trying to estabilish the easymesh connection between routers:

Scenario:

Archer GE800 (main) >> Archer AX600 (satelite).

Using the Tether App, I tried all the options there (Tp-Link Router, Tp-Link Extender, Other).

On the first option.... AX6000 is reset and red light is on and next to GE800. The app runs for 2 minutes no satelites founded.....

On other 2 options same config, also tried using the WPS button using 2 different attempts: 1) WPS just pressed on AX6000 --> no satelites founded. 2) WPS pressed on both devices no satelites founded).

So I am running out of options.... if someone have any ideia I am open to try....

The GE800 uses the EasyMesh protocol, while the AX6000 uses the OneMesh protocol. According to the TP-Link OneMesh device compatibility list, the GE800 does not support OneMesh. Similarly, based on the TP-Link EasyMesh device compatibility list, the AX6000 does not support EasyMesh. Therefore, these two devices are incompatible and cannot establish a mesh connection with each other.

Hey Jasson. Thanks for your clarification.... not sure why TP Link have devices with 2 different protocols... but with this info now I know that to extend my cover a new router must be acquired.... K regards, Gabriel

@gsFiorese TP-Link originally developed OneMesh as their proprietary mesh system for the Archer series. However, when the Wi-Fi Alliance introduced EasyMesh, TP-Link chose to align with this new standard.

The AX6000 was initially expected to support EasyMesh, but TP-Link unexpectedly decided to drop it. Other than that, the GE800 should be able to compatible with OneMesh in the future, but still depend on decision from them.

Any way just ask for vote for support easymesh on AX6000 in feature request(Feature Request (Routers) Forums - Home Network Community).
