Hi TP Link,

Recently the parental controls of my Archer VX1800v_189F modem router stopped working.

Is there a problem with it?

The rule I created was working for the past 12 months until a month or so ago.  I have updated the firmware tonight in case that was the cause and it has not fixed the problem.

I have set the rule to block (for example) tiktok.com and tiktok.  All the days of the week are ticked.  Time set to block all access from 10pm-6am.

When I try and open the page (tiktok.com) on the browser, it takes a long time to load, and then comes up with an error message.  But then, a few seconds later it reloads the page in full automatically allowing my child to access tik tok, which I want to block.

In the insights section, I can see there are no unblocked websites, and the blocked history shows tik tok listed as a blocked website with the time accessed from this evening, even though I was able indeed to access it when it loaded the second time.

Is there a firmware problem with the modem / router?

Many thanks!

dim
