BE900 breaks IPv4 over IPv6 for Japan-based ISPs

Model: Archer BE900
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.1.1

The v1.1.1 firmware for the BE900 (available at https://www.tp-link.com/jp/support/download/archer-be900/#Firmware) renders the router unusable for Japanese internet providers.

In Japan, we rely on VNEs to route IPv4 traffic over IPv6. For those with Flets Hikari Cross connections (like myself), this is actually the only option to get IPv4 traffic working, since this connection type doesn't allow PPPoE connections for IPv4. For example, my ISP uses v6plus. It was working fine in v1.0.5, but the v1.1.1 update broke the functionality for all Japan-based ISPs.

The device was just released in Japan, so those of us who spent about 600 USD to purchase the device domestically cannot access the internet normally.

As a warning, do not update the device to v1.1.1 if you reside in Japan and do not enable auto-update.

Myself and many others will likely be seeking refunds, but we hope the developers will notice and quickly update the firmware so that users in Japan can get basic functionality.

@Sunshine Thank you, appreciate the attention and have replied to the email with the requested information. Upon resolution, will update this thread with the appropriate info.

That said, the issue will definitely require a firmware update to resolve, so I'm not sure the info requested (screenshots of settings) will be helpful. Could I recommend creating a beta firmware update as a regression (for example, calling it 1.1.2 beta for Japan users, which simply reverts back to the 1.0.5 binary) until the IPoE fix is ready with MLO and other new 1.1.1 features intact?

That way, we could at least use the product as a router as intended rather than being limited to use as an access point, and you would not have to rush a hotfix.

@Kevin_Z Thank you, I've installed the update and can confirm the router now connects to v6plus as expected. Really appreciate the quick turnaround, I am getting excellent speeds with the unit so glad to make it my main home router now.
