Firewall controls and administration
I have a mailserver in my network and a fixed IP. The ports on the server report that they are listening, but another machine on the internal network reports (through nmap) that the host is down. I am maintaining a solid SSH connection. I suspect that the issue lies with the router, but I can't find any way of controling what its doing. Can anyone help?

Would there be more details on why you tend to Deco might be the problem?
- Did "Using SSH to view mailserver" work well before updating to Deco X20?
I was told before that Deco itself doesn't allow SSH login access but it should not interfere with the SSH communication between the local devices.

@David-TP I've set up a new mailserver with iRedMail which works for about 2 minutes then loses connection with the server. The server is a linux box on my network. I'm replacing an instllation of Zimbra 8 which is now obsolete. I've replecated the installation on a virtual machine in the cloud and that works fine. So what is different between these systems? That is why I'm trying to establish whether the Deco's built-in firewall might be the issue by simply turning it off.
It seems that the Deco offers no control on the firewall. So I'm still wondering ...

Since this is the first time I have received such a feedback, I don't have any further suggestions.
Furthermore, there is a similar user application about SSH monitoring and in the local connection, Deco did work well:

so I don't think the build-in firewall on the Deco might be the problem.

@David-TP So it turned out that the problem was in Ubuntu related to the Netplan configuratoin files. Basically my fixed IP was being replaced by a DHCP allocation. I removed the offending settings and everything is now working properly. Thank you for looking into this for me.
