Hi, Thanks for the further reply.

I don't think I'm capable of arguing the accuracy of translation. Sometimes, I'm also uncertain of certain expressions in English.  So I tested with ChatGPT, while it even makes me more confusedblush.

I still hope you can report directly to the local technical support teams as the initial cause would be the requirement to comply with the local WiFi regulations. They should know better than I did.

  @use-breno eh, I had interpreted it just like you, wrote a post complaining, but then I re-read it, and they're right. It's confusing wording, but

  • old version: weak if BOTH criteria are NOT met
  • new version: weak if EITHER criterion is NOT met -> must meet BOTH criteria to be non-weak/strong

 

They COULD have just said "it must meet both criteria", but it wouldn't be a proper brazilian governmental agency if they were just, y'know, trying to help us...

 

Also, GPT can't interpret text, and it made the very same error ("second expression implies meeting just one would make it strong" NO it means meeting just one makes it WEAK because it does NOT meet the other one...), but then it gets it right on the practical example ("weak because does not meet one of the criteria")....

  @NoDutra I know I'm late to the party here, but i'm leaving this for future reference: today I was forced to set up a password with special characters on my new Deco. That means that I would have to set up manually all my 70+ smart home devices. I use iOS but I've got here a spare Android phone which I used to download an older version of the Deco app (via ApkPure, from January 2024) on it. Those older versions did not require special characters yet. Just log in and change the password from there.
