Hi,

Smart Connect would allow the router automatically assign connected devices to the Wi-Fi band. Therefore you cannot manually select the bands for the devices.

If you want to manually select the frequency band for your backend device, please disable Smart Connect and manually connect the device to the appropriate Wi-Fi network.

@Sunshine i know, my problem is that the router automatically assigns only 2.4ghz, it never assigned 5ghz, i know i cannot set it manually, therefore i want to fix this issue

EDIT: and manually connecting to 5ghz is not a fix because the feature still dosnt work, my family dosnt know much about wifi and they will probably dont even know what is 5ghz, or they connect to 5ghz, go somewhere far, like to the garden, and get mad that they dosnt have wifi, because they dosnt know they need to connect to 2.4 for far distance, thets why i need it to be automatical
