Archer B230 Hard disc problem
Hello! I purchased a TP-Link Archer BE230 router and encountered some issues that I didn't have with ASUS routers. I have been using only ASUS routers for over 10 years. With my old router, I used a USB hard drive for Samba, formatted in ext4, and the ASUS router recognized it without problems. However, the TP-Link Archer BE230 doesn’t recognize the hard drive if it’s formatted in ext4. I also tried the exFAT format, but it still wasn’t detected. After formatting the hard drive to NTFS, it was recognized, but after restarting the router, it was no longer detected. I should mention that I tested several external hard drives, and they all have the same issue. I also have two ASUS routers at home, which do not have this problem. I would like to know if this router could be defective so that I know if I should return it to the store where I bought it.

Happy to hear that the USB drive works properly now in NTFS.
However, the router currently doesn't support the EXT4 format. You can check the USB specifications at the link below:
