I'm using Deco X50-5G at my home. 5G is my only connection to internet.

Every now and then, specially when the weather is bad, I'll lose the 5G connection to internet. Meanwhile LAN/WLAN is still working fine.

Now the only way to recover 5G is to reboot the Deco, and then I'll lose my home network for a while, too.

If there would be "Reconnect 5G" button in the app and on the web control page, I could command the Deco via my home network to try reconnecting to the internet with no affect to the home network.

 

Edit: Also "Auto-Recovery of 5G" would be nice, to recover the lost connection without need for user action.

Hi, Thank you very much for the feedback.

Under the "Internet" page, there is a feature "Mobile Data". Did it help to reconnect to the 5G service when toggling it off/on?

  @David-TP Thank you for your reply.

 

I now hit this issue again, and made some testing:

- Changing Mobile Data Off, waiting ~ one minute and then turning it On again. No change to the connection during the next couple of minutes. Led stays solid red.

- Selecting 4G Only - still offline

- Signal strengt: RSRP 0, RSRQ 0, SNR 0. External antenna is in use, that has been working fine with the previous 4G router.

- Manual frequence selection does not find any frequencies

- Manual operator selection does not find any operators
- At this point I rebooted Deco from the app. It helps, Deco boots up normally, and the internet connection is restored. Led goes from green to red to white

- After reboot, the manual operator selection finds 5 operators, including my current automatic one

- Now (it's snowing) RSRP -99, RSRQ -10, SNR 4.6, 3/5 yellow signal bars. On better weather 5/5 green bars can be seen. No other changes were made in addition to reboot
