Ethernet Back haul Query
Hi. I have a quick question. Instead of connecting My Deco's in chain via ethernet (One deco to another) Can I connect all the Deco's to a single switch? If I do that than can they find and connect to each other as they would in chain and form a mesh ?

@Hyperfire yes, that should be fine.
in AP mode, the router can be in that switch, but if you use router-mode, make sure the router is connected to the (other) ethernet port on the main deco and not in that switch.

@jijookhier Thanks. I also have an ER-605 as the main router. What if I plug 4 Deco's in the 4 LAN ports and set them up like with Dynamic IP (like I do with my other routers) without a need of external switch, will they find each other to create a Mesh?

@Hyperfire Should be ok if the deco's are in AccessPoint mode and the router does not do lan-isolation on the different ports.
